Difference between the Hydraulic System and the Pneumatic System:

Hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems are both examples of fluid power systems, but they differ in the fluid used and how those fluids are used. Here are some of the differences between hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems:

Hydraulic Systems:

• Use incompressible hydraulic fluid as the working medium, such as oil or water.

• Require less maintenance.
• Are generally cheaper than hydraulic systems because air is inexpensive, plentiful, easy to obtain, and store.

Pneumatic systems are relatively clean, as there is no accumulation of dirt due to oil leakage.
